Yeah, super fun being away from family and friends working 84 hrs. a week getting up out of your shoe box living quarter with 2 possible snorers on each side of you after getting up at 4am on day shift roster and Night shift trying to get sufficient sleep through the day is another challenge all together. REALITY hurts and didn't hear it mentioned! If you don't mind possibly watching your mental and physical health slowly erode away than go for it. Things we do for bigger devil's dollars.

They talk about "giving back to the community", when the real facts are that their FIFO system has destroyed what was a vibrant community. The sporting and recreation clubs that used to be a big part of the Mount Isa experience, just aren't there any more, because the majority of the workers live elsewhere. The management of Glencore clearly don't care what they have done to a once thriving small city.
